For those who wish to commemorate their time spent elsewhere

Has a game or piece of media ever captured you so entirely, heart and soul, that you were hardly able to think of anything else? That's where our journey begins, and that's what I chose to spend my life celebrating and cherishing.

Our adventure begins...

Hi there! I'm Kaitie, and I'd like to sincerely thank you for being interested in my work and art.

I've drawn since I was a child, as most artists do. When I was in middle school, I became obsessed with the book Dragonart by Jessica Peffer. Spyro the Dragon sparked a love of these reptilian creatures from a very young age, but this how-to art book gave me an outlet to explore and learn how to bring my fantasies to life. I soon began to draw so many dragons, and my confidence in my own work grew.

As I grew older, I dabbled in many artistic endeavors, and I graduated from an arts high school with a certificate of focus on oboe performance. Although I studied music in college, my interests have always been vast and numerous, and I did end up graduating from the University of South Florida with a BFA in English, conc. Creative Writing, in Fall 2017.

Near my graduation, I began to work for a bookstore and rekindled my deep love of all things fantasy. I saw firsthand how important stories were to people. Although it was wonderful to be surrounded by books, what really fascinated me was the way that readers connected to the narratives they consumed. They carried these characters and worlds with them, and would talk to anyone who would listen about their special connections.

Meanwhile, I had started picking up art again, coloring bases as adoptables for a magic school roleplaying community online. I started to have dreams about making visual art, and I realized that creating characters and pieces that people connected to was a very special emotional outlet.

Finding home one step at a time

It wasn't long before I began to take my study of art very seriously. I began to take online self-guided classes and study via YouTube. I participated in art-based RPGs, finding motivation in rewards and in sharing my art with a community. And finally, as I began to play more collaborative online games, I discovered that these experiences and memories stuck with me more than anything else.

During Covid-19 lockdowns and horrible bouts of depression, it was digital worlds and characters that pulled me through. So with the support of my husband, I decided to focus on art full-time as of Spring 2023.

My art primarily has been focused on spreading joy. Whether that's through showing love for a shared experience, such as through video games, or by simply sharing positive reminders, I want my art to feel like home. It's my dream for others to look at my work and be reminded of a happy memory, or to be comforted through a hard time.

I try to always diversify and experiment with new mediums, approaches, and techniques. From digital and traditional art, to sculpture, to resin work, and more, I'm eager to put my hands in everything and see what I can create.

Thanks so much for giving me your time and attention, and for considering supporting me! I am so blessed to have the ability to share my craft with the world, and with your kindness, I can continue to do so for long into the future.
